PCS Product Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead grid code compliance assessment for PCS and BESS products across Europe, focusing on selected international markets (e.g. Germany, UK, others)
  • Act as a key Europe-based technical interface for grid compliance and market requirements.
  • Define and maintain product requirements based on applicable grid codes, connection requirements, and evolving regulatory frameworks
  • Support certification activities, grid integration studies, and compliance with connection agreements
  • Monitor changes to grid codes, market requirements, and ancillary service frameworks, translating them into product improvements and technical requirements.
  • Act as the technical interface between customers, system operators, certification bodies, and internal teams on grid compliance matters
  • Support customer engagements, strategic bids, and technical due diligence activities.
  • Identify technical risks related to grid connection and drive their resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and the development of internal grid compliance expertise

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in power systems, BESS, PCS, or renewable energy
  • Deep understanding of European grid codes and grid integration requirements, including the EU Requirements for Generators (RfG) 1.0 and 2.0.
  • Experience with grid code compliance processes, especially on requirements for simulation models. 
  • Understanding of power system simulation tools such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or ETAP
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and international teams
  • Experience with grid-forming technologies, ancillary services, flexibility markets, or utility-scale energy storage projects would be an advantage, as would exposure to advisory, due diligence, or international grid code compliance
  • Chinese language skills would be advantageous
